Access to private and public waters 50 minutes to 2 ½ hours from Denver include rivers such as the Colorado and Arkansas, the Williams Fork, the South Platte River, Boxwood Gulch Ranch and Long Meadow, North Fork Ranch and Meadows, Union Valley, the Fraser River, Muddy Creek, Elevenmile and Spinney State Parks, Sylvan Dale Ranch and numerous other private & public water locations. Part of this operation is conducted on Public Lands under special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. . Other special permits through AHRA, CDOW and Colorado State Parks. TRIPS: For those that would like to enjoy a day of fishing in the splendor of the Rocky Mountains, or advance their Fly Fishing skills to the next level, we offer a day on private or public water with an experienced instructor/guide. CLASSES: Fly Fishing classes are offered during spring and fall. These include classroom sessions as well as on-water classes. These classes will improve your knowledge of equipment, entomology, leader set-ups, knots, casting, fly selections, trout and insect behavior and habitat, along with nymphing, streamer and dry fly techniques. Class size is kept small to ensure more personalized learning. As more women are becoming actively involved in Fly Fishing, we encourage them to join other women anglers who would like to learn more about Fly Fishing through our classes and guided trips.

Janice O'Shea is a licensed Fly Fishing instructor/guide in Colorado. Growing up in Colorado gave her the opportunity to hike and fish the many rivers and lakes this beautiful state has to offer. A veteran teacher with a degree in elementary and secondary education, she turned her passion and commitment for the outdoors to teaching and guiding fly fishing trips in Colorado. She instructs fly fishing schools and clinics for various organizations in Colorado. Her company, Trout Trips, LLC is the guide service for the Bass/Pro Outdoor World Store in Denver. She is also a published writer, photographer, and speaker on her outdoor experiences. Her company, Trout Trips, LLC provides guide service to public and private waters throughout Colorado.
